New Fort Myers Center Opened September 2007!

History

Collier Pregnancy Centers, Inc. has been serving the Naples community for more than 30 years.  A group of dedicated local volunteers founded the organization in 1974 in response to the Roe v. Wade decision and a desire to provide a positive alternative for women facing a crisis pregnancy.  Originally named Emergency Pregnancy Services (EPS), the center operated as a traditional crisis pregnancy center offering free self pregnancy testing, counsel, referrals and material assistance.

In 2002, the Center’s Board of Directors made the decision to convert to a medical clinic model.  Collier Pregnancy Centers, Inc. was one of the first in the state of Florida to become a life affirming medical clinic.  We now serve thousands of clients every year with a professional staff, including registered nurses and ultrasound technologists operating under the license of a medical director.    This conversion has had a great impact in the effectiveness of our services.  We are responsible for saving hundreds of baby’s lives each year and on average, 90% of the abortion vulnerable women who come through our doors choose life for their babies.

The plan to open our first satellite clinic was realized in September 2007.  The new medical clinic, Fort Myers Pregnancy Center, is located within walking distance to the most active abortion mill in Lee County.  The new center has been hugely successful and provides our life affirming medical services to a much needed area while continuing to expand our vision to build a Culture of Life in Southwest Florida.
